Green with eFax Service

Batelco, the Kingdom’s leading communications provider has announced new features that will enhance eFax services. eFax, which has proven to be very successful with customers, facilitates the sending of faxes from an email account to a fax machine or another eFax account.

Also, a fax can be sent from a fax machine to an eFax account, where the actual fax will be converted to an electronic format and delivered to the email account. E-Fax is a managed service whereby Batelco handles the operation and maintenance of the service, allowing customers to use the service seamlessly.

“Batelco’s eFax service is innovative and cost effective and is a very convenient option for all enterprises especially start up companies,” said Batelco General Manager Media and Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.

“Also as companies and individuals these days strive for a ‘greener’ environment, eFax contributes to the reduction of paper in the workplace.”

The eFax service, which was first introduced in 1999 under the name IMS (Integrated Messaging System) has grown in popularity and is now utilised by most of Bahrain’s leading companies.

The service, which was originally only available for business customers, is now also available for Batelco’s residential customers. Any new customer who signs up by 24th March 2009 will benefit from free registration.
